Announcement Week: Day 5
Grand Prix Las Vegas is here, and as promised, Wizards has dumped a ton of new Hour of Devastation spoilers on us, including the first three Invocations: Damnation, Blood Moon and Desolation Angel.
We also got our first look at a new god in Hour of Devastation, The Scorpion God. Unlike the Amonkhet gods, however, it appears the gods post-Nicol Bolas are non-indestructible creatures right off the bat.
See more spoilers from Hour of Darkness, like Nicol Bolas, God-Pharaoh, new full art basic lands, a slew of promos and the defeat of the Gatewatch. Looking beyond Hour of Devastation, check out the early spoilers for Ixalan.
The literally giant game of Magic and final reveal of The Scorpion God may not have gone quite as planned (see below), but Wizards should be commended for trying something fun and new when it comes to spoiler announcements.
Let’s take a look at the Invocations below first, followed by the main-set Hour of Devastation cards revealed during the giant card game.
